Wilberforce Reid

Books by Wilberforce Reid

Wilberforce has been working in the field of electrical, electronics and control systems since his teenage years and has learned along the way the awesome discipline of electrons and the forces that control them. He learned that these forces do not react to human emotions. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. He has an Unlimited Electrical Contractor’s License from the State of Connecticut. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the Instrument Society of America (ISA). He has designed control systems for a major industrial corporation. He is now retired and is devoting some of his time to writing.

His books are mainly about social and ideological practices that have impacted on our society over the years. His first book, “My Jamaican Experience” was published in 2014 and addressed the nostalgic experience of growing up in rural Jamaica in the 1960s. This book also cataloged the social and political upheaval in Jamaica during the 70s and 80s at the height of the “Cold War” between the Soviet Union and the USA. At that time Jamaica became the epicenter of many dastardly deeds inflicted on the people of Jamaica by the Soviet KGB in its endeavor to spread communism, and the endeavor of the American CIA in its effort to mitigate the spread of communism. “Why Do Humans Worship Gods?”

In this book and also in the original version, the author recaps historical facts, empirical data, and logical reasoning that have been manipulated to create a narrative to satisfy what has become the status quo. Religious dogmas that have no foundation in facts, and colonial narratives that turns the truth on its head, have replaced critical and objective reasoning. Many of these despicable practices are cited in this book.
